Christopher Sullivan, CEO of ICDL France, has been elected to the position of National Administrator of the Fédération Française de la Formation (FFP). The FFP, which was formed in 1991, is the largest federation for private training centres in France. It has more than 1,000 members generating more than €2.7 billion turn over and training more than 5.8 million individuals each year.
In 2019, the federation changed its’ legal status to allow not only training centres to become members, but all ‘skills professionals’ including consultants, e-learning providers and certifications. ICDL France has been a member since 2019.
The CEO of ICDL France, Christopher Sullivan, has been involved with the FFP since the start of 2020 when he was elected member of the board of the FFP regional office in the south of France. Later in that year, he was nominated Co-President, alongside Bruno Perinel, of the National Digital Skills Commission by the FFP’s President, Pierre Courbebaisse. More recently, Christopher was elected National Administrator for the FFP.
“It a strong signal for ICDL and all certifications in France to be represented at the Board of Directors of the FFP. It will allow us to include the certification factor in the decision making of the strategy of the federation for the upcoming years and open discussions with multiple government and private stakeholders to promote skills certification for individuals”, says Christopher.
After 30 years of history promoting training and defending the interest of training centres in France, the FFP will be expressing its’ new identity including all ‘skills professionals’ with a new name that will be launched this summer : the Actors for Skills (les Acteurs de la Compétence).
